Frequently asked questions

How do I add a voucher?

Tap the scan button and point your camera at the barcode on the slip from the bottle-return machine. Stashback saves the barcode and lets you attach a photo of the slip as a backup against fading thermal ink. You can also enter a voucher manually.

How do I redeem a voucher at the store?

Open the voucher and use Redeem mode — it shows the barcode full-screen and at maximum brightness so the till or machine can scan it cleanly. After redeeming, archive the voucher to keep your wallet tidy and track your refunds.

Which countries are supported?

Stashback supports deposit schemes in Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Poland. Choose your country in onboarding or under Settings → Country & currency to get the right currency and deposit rules.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Everything stays on your device. Stashback has no accounts and no servers, and we collect no personal data — no analytics, no ads, no trackers. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

How do I back up or move my wallet to a new phone?

Go to Settings → Data → Back up wallet to export a backup file, and save it somewhere you control (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Files). On your new phone, install Stashback and use Settings → Data → Restore from backup. You can also export your redeemed history as a CSV.

I bought Stashback Pro but it shows as Free / I switched phones.

Open Settings → Plan → Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy Pro. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to that store account.

What does Stashback Pro include?

The free plan stores up to 10 vouchers. Stashback Pro (€4.99, one-time) unlocks unlimited vouchers and lets you share a voucher with family or friends. It's a one-time purchase — there's no subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by the app stores, so refunds go through them: request via the Apple App Store (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (Play Store → Order history). See our Terms of Service.

My reminder didn't fire.

Reminders are scheduled locally and depend on your device's settings. Make sure notifications are enabled for Stashback and that battery-optimization isn't suspending the app. You can adjust reminder timing under Settings → Reminders.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual vouchers in the app (Archive → delete), or uninstall the app to remove all local data, including photos. Full steps are on our Data Deletion page.
